Our organization is dedicated to providing a clean, competitive atmosphere where players can work on fundamentals, learn more about themselves as a player, and get the opportunity to develop new skills to reach the next level in their game. The top teams and players will have the opportunity to move on to the Exposure Tour to compete for a state championship and gain extra college exposure as part of the All-Star Showcase Team.
Below is an explanation of our league rules and an overview of how the league will run:
This is a Wood Bat League. Players must swing with a wood bat. Every player in our leagues receive a wood bat from Hoosier Bat Co. (American made Pro Ash that retails for $55 + shipping or $70 total) with the opportunity to purchase extra bats at a discounted price at the time of registration. Aside from the bat you receive, players are responsible to provide their own equipment (bat, helmet, glove, and catcher's gear)
Each league will consist of 4-8 teams that will field a team of no less than 12 players and no more than 14 players.
Games have a 1:50 time limit or 6 innings. IHSAA rules will be enforced.
We do not have a run rule. We will enforce a 10 run rule after 4 completed innings during all tournament play.
A continuous batting order will be used. All players will get an equal # of at-bats. Each player will receive a dri-fit shirt with a jersey number on the back. Players must wear this shirt to every game. Players will hit according to the # on their shirt. Coaches will also do their best to allow equal playing time in the field.
Players will be able to choose 2 positions on their registration form. The primary position chosen on the registration form will be the primary position coaches will use to set the lineup.
Pitchers that are primarily a pitcher should list pitching as their #1 position. Players that list pitching as their #2 position are not guaranteed to pitch unless needed. Depending on the # of pitchers on a roster and # of games being played that day, pitchers can expect to throw between 1-3 innings each week.
Team dugout coaches will be experienced at the high school, college, or professional level.
Arguing/Cussing/Being Disrespectful with an umpire will not be tolerated. We have a a zero tolerance policy. If you are found being disrespectful, you will be removed from the game immediately by the site director and escorted from the facilities.
Our network of fall wooden bat baseball leagues across the state of Indiana creates an incentive for players to compete and enjoy developing their skills in the fall. On top of playing in meaningful games in the fall, we give players the opportunity to play a week of regular season games at a partner college campus, meet college coaches, be selected to a league All-Star team that plays in an All-Star Showcase Game, and compete for a birth into the Fall State Championship Tournament to play for a Fall League State title. Furthermore, players will receive an Pro Ash Wood Bat from Hoosier Bat Co., a team dri-fit shirt, and receive college recruiting services from Showcase U for playing in the league.
